HELP!!! My baby cries throughout her midday sleep

I'm a Gina Ford devotee but I really need some advice. The routine worked like a dream with DD1 but with DD2 it's gone pear shaped during the day over the past week. (DD2 is 6 weeks old) A week ago she became really unsettled during her midday sleep and since then everyday she constantly cries with only a few mins quiet in between. (I've no idea if she catnaps in these few mins of peace as I daren't go in her room for fear of waking her) This goes on for 2 hours. I check her for a dirty nappy (she hates it when she's pooed), whether she's got wind or is hungry. She has had a growth spurt a couple of days ago and I've fed her for longer during her feeds. Today I've also given her a quick feed after an hour as she was rooting but she only fed for 10 mins. I've tried leaving her to settle but she doesn't. I've been worried that its reflux but she's absolutely fine at other times and she has learnt to quickly settle herself at bedtime. Swaddling has been totally unsuccessful, we even bought a miracle blanket but she hated it so she's now in a sleeping bag which she appears to like - there's certainly no problem with it at bedtime.

I'm also having a problem with her morning sleep - she's really tired but totally fights it. Her room is blacked out.

DD2 does like to be with us and I think some of the reason is that she doesn't like being left alone. I want to encourage her spending time in her cot but I've only successfully achieved that one day in the last week when she was happy to stay in it for 10 mins after she awoke after a short morning sleep. Are there any particularly good cot mobiles that would entertain her enough?

HELP!!! I'm trying not to tear my hair out but I really don't know what to do. I'm getting pretty stressed over this and consequently am less patient with my family which isn't fair on them. I really do want to stick to GF as I need the routine. As I said, prior to the past week it was all going well and as far as I'm aware nothing in particular has happened that could have caused it to go wrong. If anyone could offer me some advice I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

No, she's in a babygrow and 0.5 tog sleeping bag, with a sheet tucking her in. Though by the time she's cried for England she is hot then.
