I just did one with Qs about voting intentions, D Cameron, education and other things (as usual I've no idea who the survey was commissioned by but will be looking out for the results)

If you would like to do them too sign up here - you get a joining fee (£1) and then a fee per survey of usually 50p-£1, for about 5 mins as a rule (and I get some too, hooray )

wendy????? (whiny voice ) i got my Posy book from amazon but I cannot work out how many children George and Wendy have?

TotalChaos · 03/10/2007 23:46

Wouldn't say they are always interesting . But otherwise if you have spare time, it's a reasonably painless way to make a bit of spare cash.

ChasingSquirrels · 03/10/2007 23:46

I have been doing them for about 2.5 yreas and have JUST reached my £50. So hopefully the cheque is in the post . I quite enjoy doing them, but like pinecone better, especially when they sent me chocolate samples to test .

WendyWeber · 03/10/2007 23:54

We have 5 or 6, otter - I am too distracted to remember so will have to look at the books to check myself

Oh def not always interesting, TC, but when they are it's worthwhile!

CHOCOLATE, CS? I never got chocolate

well i have had dishwasher tablets twice, and a frozen pasta meal (just wierd) but the chocolate was odd - a mars and something else already on the market, eat and fill in a survey - umm, let me thing.....OKAY THEN! Plus £4 for the initial survey and £4 for eating and doing the follow up survey. Haven't had anything from them for a while though.

WendyWeber · 04/10/2007 00:00

Oh, and we had some cereal once. And I was going to get some laundry detergent but it never arrived. It all seems a bit random (maybe it depends on the age of your family?)

i have been doing those surveys for years now and just get some point - god knows what they amount to...

Wendy we can work out ( Belinda,Beverley ,Sophie Tamsin ,Manda(whats her real name??) Benji is that right?

WendyWeber · 04/10/2007 00:09

Yes, that's right, thank you for helping me out there, otter

Manda is Amanda, obv. I think 2 of them are twins but please don't ask me which 2. 3 biggish ones (Belinda is married ) and 3 littlish ones who make messes with their food.

WendyWeber · 04/10/2007 00:10

(Of course in RL they would all be about 30 by now)

OP posts:
NotAnOtter · 04/10/2007 00:10

i was hoping Manda was Miranda...?
i do remember one of her characters was once a Miranda...

NotAnOtter · 04/10/2007 00:11

Benji is so so lovely

saltire · 04/10/2007 00:12

I do these, but they say you ahve to reach £50 before they pay out and you only get 50/75p per survey so it takes a while!

WendyWeber · 04/10/2007 11:45

bump

Somebody pleeeese sign up and get me some more money

OP posts:
Hulababy · 04/10/2007 11:47

I do these too. And some are defintely not that interesting! Others are though. I am no where near my £50!!!

WendyWeber · 04/10/2007 11:55

Oh, I don't do the boring ones (BrandIndex? pah) although I do do the prize-draw-entry-only ones so they don't think I'm only in it for the money and fame and stop sending me surveys.

They are much better value than Ciao, whose surveys have got so cheap I've stopped doing them - they keep offering eg 84p for 20 minutes or something - puhleese.

Took me about 18 months to get my first £50 with YouGov (well actually it took 2½ years but for some reason I didn't get any surveys for a 12 month period - I would recommend logging in every now and then just to see if there are any live surveys going, because that was how I got back in again. No idea what happened during the hiatus)
