Quick, what's the best thing to use to get the smell of vomit out of a carpet?

Poor dd2 had an upset stomach today and was sick all over the living room carpet. Place now stinks, what can we do to get rid of the smell?

bicarb of soda and luke warm water and a scrubbing brush. it works fab!

I agree, it'll remove all traces of vomit smells like magic!

yep, bicarb - when ds was born my mum bought me a supply of it and it has been v handy!

Thank you all, will have to buy some now as dh threw out the bicarb of soda that we had in the cupboard as it had gone out of date. If only he'd waited another couple of days, lol
