Sandbach and Holmes Chapel - anyone from these places?

we are looking to relocate from the south, husband will be able to work in sandbach so I am looking around sandbach and holmes chapel as preliminary search options.

Where are the nice areas and where should I avoid? And is there any other surrounding villages I should look at?

No nasty areas tbh... but I would avoid Crewe, Middlewich and winsford - and before anyone complains I live in one of those towns.
If you go just over the Staffordshire border you get more for your money.
HC has a good high school and Sandbach has a Boys school and a girls school. My DD went to Sandbach girls and did well at uni (got a first).

And as for villages...take your pick!

I've never personally lived in Sandbach but me and my partner were going to get a house there and it was lovely and quiet - just elderly people haha.

I live in the centre of Sandbach. Great town. Lovely primary schools, secondary schools are split into girls and boys. Hear better things about boys than the girls. Lots of people suggest HC or Alsager secondary if you prefer a mixed school.

Sorry just saw you didn't ask about schools! D'oh! I wouldn't live in Elworth, that's a personal choice, I've lived in Sandbach most of my life.
Winterley and Haslington are nice villages. Willaston also.

Nantwich is lovely and has some really good schools, too. It's about 11 miles from Sandbach.

Oh wow lots of advice thank you! School info is really helpful so thank you!!

So within holmes chapel and sandbach are theyre nice and not nice areas? Where i live now is a similar size to sandbach and there are areas that I wouldn't buy in for their reputation and they are cheaper.

Is there plenty of courlntryside around hc and sandbach? I live in the countryside in the south and thats really important to me. Cheshire is mostly countryside isn't it so I am assuming so!

Lots of countryside round here. Congleton has the cloud, there's a nature reserve in Brereton and many walks in and around Sandbach itself.
There's many 'nicer' areas of town just depends on budget really. Lots of new builds which are very expensive but all seem to be built in the more desirable areas.
I can't afford any of them lol Grin

Sanbach also has a Waitrose....😎
