told you i would do it! here it is, i am truly interested in comments, on my local news was a mother who out of fear after the murder of the two little girls had her teenage daughter fitted with a tracking device. this was inserted under her skin in her arm, much like some kind of contraception or menapause thingy. she could then track her daughter via her mobile phone, which would tell her where she was.

personally i think this takes away the freedom and experiences that makes a teenager, isnt it about lying to your parents about where you are, all might parties, copping off and snoggin in dingy corners, sneaking into nightclubs etc...... or have i just told you my own sordid teenage life?

Urghh, can you imagine? If my mother knew some of the things I got up to...lets just say there would be no DS, never mind the rest of it. I can understand the worry, but....I dunno really. What do you do?

I think that is a case of the mother oversteppng the mark in not letting go. Much as I would love to, we all know that you cannot protect your kids from everything and there comes a point when you have to allow them their freedom and the space to make their own mistakes.

There is a thread about this on here somewhere already. Have they actually done it or are they still talking about it?
