I have lost one of my diamond earrings...

and am waiting to hear from the insurance lady.
We are covered for up to £1500 I think,they cost about that.Has anyone claimed for this sort of thing successfully.I haven't got the receipt but do have the jewel ID card.

Will they give me a cheque,haven't claimed for anything like this ever.

I lost one of my diamond earrings recently that I'd had for over 10 years. I claimed on my insurance, they took the other earring to assess the value and then gave me the money less the deductible. I got a new pair of earrings within about 2 weeks.

They gave me a card that I could use within certain jewellery stores. All in all it was pretty painless
