Just searched on BT and no record of the address but they may have been ex-directory anyway.

Any Births/Deaths/Marriages sites don't seem to be very up to date.

It is so important that I find this out and I amstuck. Can anyone please help?

Local paper - obituaries? Local undertakers? Local hospitals?

haychee · 27/09/2007 08:22

Who are you trying to find?

I can't just ring the local hospital and ask if someone has died recently.

wannaBe · 27/09/2007 11:13

ring the local registrar and ask if a death has been registered.

NAB3 · 27/09/2007 11:13

Too long to go in to now but will ring the hospital now.

Would the local police in Bradford be able to tell you that sort of info?

Have you tried ringing the local Births & Deaths office in Bradford, to see if their death has been registered, rather than looking online?

NAB3 · 27/09/2007 12:47

Thanks all.

Phoned hospital and she was there.

Have to ring back later when the Sister can get the records.

Will try ringing local register office too.

Thanks again.

Oh SH!t.

Rung local register office.

Have a record that may be her.

Have to send £7 to request death certificate and any info I have and they will see if it matches.

lilibet · 27/09/2007 13:09

If she was at the hospital why did you ring the records office?

or did you mean was in the past tense?

NAB3 · 27/09/2007 13:18

I meant she had been there.

NAB3 · 27/09/2007 14:08

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/09/2007 14:11

Well I have no idea who you're talking about, but I'm sorry that someone has died who you obviously didn't want to have.

lilibet · 27/09/2007 14:15

Sorry

NAB3 · 27/09/2007 14:16

It was my Grandma and we had hassles from my mother regarding the safety of my children. Another link to the past gone.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/09/2007 14:17

Oh how awful to have to search to find out that your grandma has died. I am sorry Nab.

LilRedWG · 27/09/2007 14:18

So sorry NAB.

lilibet · 27/09/2007 14:20

Really sorry NAB, did you know her in the past?

Was she old? I know we think of Grandma's as bing old but soem aren't

NAB3 · 27/09/2007 14:25

I didn't see her from age 6 to 18. She put me up when I came back from abroad at 20 when no one else would and I could really talk to her. I had to let her go as my mother (her daughter) caused so many problems and I couldn't let my mother know I had children. My other nana and MIL let that one for me.

I think she was early -mid 70's.
