Earlier this year we collected Daily Mail tokens for Doulton Disney Princess limited edition figurines at discounted prices . We collected enough for 2 - Belle and Cinderella - which we thought would be nice for dd's 6th bday in August . These came as released in May/June and with them an order form for further ones at reduced prices for a limited period. I arranged with pil's and my dad to each buy another - Sleeping Beauty and Snow White - which I ordered at the beginning of August , the offer finishing at end of August, and requested delivery by 27th if possible.
On 8th we had confirmation from Thompson and Morgan with estimated delivery of August. I rang on 20th to try to find out if they would come in time for dd's bday and was told it might be as late as mid September for an August delivery time. I rang again today and am told the order was cancelled as they have run out. No letter sent to us but apparently our card has been refunded. I'm waiting for someone to call me back to explain and dh will confirm later if we have actually been refunded.
I think I've found some on the Doulton site as an alternative but that is hardly the point. to Thompson and Morgan
