It id two o'clock in the morning, i have been woken up to the strains of Mustang Sally...........i'm on my own with the little one so can't go round and tell them to shut up.

who do i complain to? it's happened before but this is the loudest it's ever been......

aha!! answered my own question.....i just found the phone number for the club and asked them to turn it down......landlord apologised and said he will have a word with them.
Most of my neighbours have got lights on so they must be up too, and the couple at the end have got three kids including a new born baby(and i happen to know mummy is quite poorly at the moment).

i witheld my number but the landlord asked me where i was so i did tell him because i see him most days and he is a genuinely nice guy........i don't begrudge them having fun but that was just a bit too much.

Glad you sorted it out.

yes.....but i didn't get back to sleep until 4.30 and ds woke up at 6.......my other half got in at 8 after a drive from Cornwall so he's now gone to bed!! I'm starting to get a headache from the sleep deprivation......

To prevent it happening again, and this applies to barking dogs and alarms which go off for more than 20 mins, too, contact environmental health at your local council, who can investigate and issue a warning notice. If it happens again, they can prosecute. Anonymity is assured.

Thankyou Wrinklygran.........it has happened before but it's a rare occurrence. I will keep that advice in mind though in case it becomes more regular.

They had the side window open which makes a huge difference to the amount of sound that travels out......but it was very loud. And dp is a musician so i'm not a wimp when it comes to loud music.....i'd say it was definitely over acceptable levels.

It used to be the pub at the end of the road making noise at all hours but that has closed down now. Our town is about 2000 population and we have two breweries and 4 pubs.(used to be 6 but two closed!)
