DRIVING TEST!!! ARRRGGGGHHH

got mine v.soon and a tad nervous as we just bought new car(no pressure there then!)instead of letting me knock hell out of the old one, we now have a very shiny pretty one!!!!
feel like i can drive but bricking it about the test (pardon the crudety!!)

good luck! i wasnt nervous, but am getting a little edgy! its starting to mean more...like going out with the girls again as ill be home and back if prob with dd ( havent been out in 15 months so would be nice to be 'me' again even just for a couple of hours!)

had a dream last night that was taking my test and instructer and me were in back of car and examiner in front telling us morbid jokes about wayne rooney??????????????????????????
does this mean he's gonna be the opposite and make me a nervous wreck being silent and horrible.....yep the pressures rising!!arrrgh

evesmama i passed in june! go to the test and try not to get any d's. if you think you've failed try and keep it together, i thought I failed leaving the test centre, maybe that helped. also wear red knickers. never been known to fail

only red knickers i own are thong...uncomfortable and not a pretty site on my backside....but if its been tried and tested! ill give it a go!

Oh poo. I really feel for you - I've got mine on Nov 8th and I HAVE to pass - it wil makemy life so much easier if I can drive.
What did you fail on? Have you rebooked yet?

Ahhh, Evesmama - sorry.

Hey, not the end of the world - was that your first attempt? I know people who have taken it 5 or 6 times and are now better drivers than others I know who passed first time. That's the honest truth too - not just making it up to make you feel better!

My second test was 4:42, and I had to pay an extra £9 as it was in the "evening"

lucky u skate, i failed my first theory and passed 2nd time with that as well. that hazard theory was so difficult, i had no clue on what i was doing lol

All we had was the actual test then a few flashcards of roadsigns at the end!! No parking in those days either which is probably why I'm still not best ever at that!!!

Hi there - sorry to hear you didn't pass Evesmama but you're in good company (does anyone get through 1st time?) - keep at it & hopefully you'll get through next time. I finally managed to pass mine last week (only just due to crap bay parking) and that was having given up for yrs after failed 1st time round - it was really hard to get up to standard again after such a long break. I've been out a few times since test but not alone yet, hope to build up confidence by going out with dh (if his blood pressure is up to it!)

EM you probably feel like crap and are going over and over it - I know I failed mine umpteen times - but a lot of the time its a lottery - unless you're really crap which I know your not!

Look - my friend passed first time 30 years ago and still won't go near the motorway - I failed mine loads of times (not telling) and I was on the motorway the next week - you'll be better for more practice - better look next time!

hi everyone.
thanks for the nice messages, i couldnt come on last night as i was too dissapointed in myself and i didnt want to be a wet lettuce.
i was actually about a minute from test centre(thornaby) and coming of a large roundabout, was going round it in 3rd as its quite big but slopes as your coming off, so changed down to 2nd(normally, just brake, but have been caught speeding here on my lessons so didnt want to do that as failed forst time for speeding), dont know how and dont remember feeling it, but examiner said as i was coming off, youve knocked your hazards on, can you turn them off(and pointed to the steering wheel), well my mind went blank! i thought why is he pointing to the steering wheel...the hazards are on the dash!!! ....arnt they....! that was it, the moment i triumphanty cocked up! i needed to keep steering to the left to follow my lane, but was slowly moving to right and examiner had to move the wheel!
i then turned my hazards off(where they always were on dash!) and thought f**k!
apart from being more nervous than ive ever felt before and feeling jerky, i did all my manouvers perfectly and drove ok, noticed all hazards and got number plate right(third and last time!!nerves got my eyes!!)
i pulled in and parked in bay(not having ever done that before!) only to hear..not this time..blah blah, do you want your instructer to hear what happend..blah, blah

absolutley gutted, already told Eve id take her to park on sat and drop dp off with mates! i know i can bloody drive and am so p**d off.
was second test as tried when 17 and failed for speeding.
cant BOOK another one till 18th JANUARY 2005!! so am trying to get a cancellation.

oh yeah..and i only got 3 minors in the full test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
