from my well-paying P/T City job that I have been in for 3 years. I have had enough with trying to juggle work with my 9m old DD who has been really poorly lately.

DH is quiet, understanding but a bit nervous (it paid VV well!)and I am feeling totally strange but happy.

So I am going to be a SAHM ahhhhhgghhhhhh. I have worked solid since leaving uni. Wow.
Help!

I would guess it's the loss of something that's accompanied you for years and years, maybe a worry re loss of financial 'independence', knowing there might have to be some financial readjusting, and maybe some worry about doing the SAHM thing Sadly we couldn't afford for me to give up work, but I have gone PT lately and am on mat leave for dc2 (when he arrives I will have approx 10 months completely off and then ease gradually back in). I can't wait, but I still get my moments of thinking 'am I going to be up to this 'proper SAHM' thing ?'
