Smell of sick

DD1 was spectaculary car sick on the trip home from our meetup in Muck. We were at a place where I couldn't stop safely, so I wound down the car window.

It was all over and in the car. I have scrubbed it with hot water and fairy, and then hot water and dettol. Also febrese. I cant leave the door open as it is parked in the street.

We just applied Febreeze several times over a few days when ds did that - the smell was gone pretty quickly. We used the anti-bac one - worked a treat - was pleasantly surprised!

take it in for valeting - much easier

Let us know if the bicarbinate of soda thing works Kalex. Good luck, nothing worse than that smell.

I agree with Lisa78, pay someone else to clean it up. If poss, someone who comes to your house.

Try and buy the bicarb from a chemist rather than the Supercook range, kalex - you used to be able to get a huge box (500g?) for about tuppence. Well, not literally but much cheaper than the equivalent in Supercook tubs, and it's nice to have a supply in, esp with a vomiter in the family

Vomitter in the family Janh. I have 2. I kept on changing who was sitting in the front seat. DS did it on the way up to MUCK - (have you seen the meetup thread - we are going for the most northerly meetup in the country ) but was at a place where I could stop.

DP and I are going away for a night coz the kids are going away to their dads for the week, so I shall do the Bicarb thing in the morning follwoed by the valeting
