What was your worst morning with kids?

My DH was away all this week. Yesterday morning, the following nearly floored me!

DD2 very poorly (again) and needed to go to hospital. Very kind friend offered to take DD1 to school for me. As we got ready I discovered that DD1 had nits! Obviously I couldn't knowingly expose my friend's children to nits, so I had to cancel the school lift, treat DD1's hair (took an hour), take her to school and then take DD2 to hospital (she's now fine ).

I am not a morning person at the best of times but this was a killer. Have you ever had a truly awful start to the day with your kids?

I remember one particular morning this year which involved a Rat which flooded my kitchen, chewed through the water pipes and electric wire. Then dd woke up with Chicken Pox and ds (who was suffering with reflux) vomited all over.

That was a fine day.
