hmmm, suggestions please?

Something cheap and easy

My thoughts so far are Ghandi or lending one of mum's old dresses and getting a grey wig and going as my mum! (cheesey!!)

Ghandi!! are you joking?? lilibet, fancy dress is supposed to be for a laugh - a fancy dress hero should be more along the lines of Wonderwoman TSOT

whizzz · 07/10/2004 21:59

But who is your hero ??

Would love to go as Lily Langtree, but it's a children's Knight to Remeber party and I am a helper!

Cn't think who my hero/heroine is.......
ummmm

maybe need a bit of liquid inspiration

Like the Marie Curie idea, that would be cheap and easy!

unless of course going as ghandi means topless in a loincloth - in which case it's a very racy choice of hero!

marthamoo · 07/10/2004 22:25

Princess Leia?

My hero is Bob Geldof - scruff your hair up, adopt an Irish accent and say "F*!" a lot?

CleanKittyCat · 09/10/2004 12:57

my dds hero is barbie, you can go in an evening gown, with/out tiara

prettycandles · 09/10/2004 14:47

I went to such a party once as Votes For Women: sexy but demure black dress, stockings etc, gold and silver chains twisted around arms from L wrist to neck to R wrist, intertwined with black-and-gold cardboard railings (ie, chained to the railings) and a purple and green sash.

A little too sophisticated, perhaps (there were plenty of Wonderwomen! ) but looked gooooood!

Tessiebear · 09/10/2004 14:59

Going as Maddonna might be fun!

Davros · 09/10/2004 19:33

Mmm, count Bob Geldof as one of my heros too! Are you going to watch that TV prog with him this week?
As for someone realistic you could go as...... mind's gone a blank. What about Kelly Holmes? Can you take the lycra?

Poo2 · 09/10/2004 20:01

I'd go as my dishwasher...

candy · 09/10/2004 22:20

I'd get a huge quiff and some daffs and go as morrissey - is that something i shouldn't be admitting to?

dawnie1 · 10/10/2004 14:09

The last fancy dress I went to I wore a large box covered in weetabix/cornflakes/sugarpuffs etc packets and I carried a toy gun.

Can anybody guess what I was ??

hmb · 10/10/2004 14:28

ARGHHHHHHH!

CleanKittyCat · 10/10/2004 15:14

Dawnie ok I'm stupid what where you?

TraceyP · 10/10/2004 16:48

CleanKittyCat · 10/10/2004 18:31

TraceyP · 10/10/2004 18:33

CleanKittyCat · 10/10/2004 18:34

sassy · 11/10/2004 17:10

Can't believe no one has suggested Lady Godiva..

Thomcat · 11/10/2004 17:18

i'd go as my mum or my dad.

lilibet · 11/10/2004 18:35

At the moment it's either my mum or Marie Curie!

It's a children's party!!!

Me as Lady Godiva would put anyone off their nuggets!
