I've been with Sky Broadband for some time now. I'm at the end of my contract and I rang customer services who were unable to give me a competitive price.
I understand that Sky routers support 'DHCP option 61 (MER)'. The question is, would my Sky Broadband fibre router work with another provider as a standalone modem/router?
The reason why I ask is that some of the free routers available are terrible and I'm quite happy with the range and performance of the Sky router.
