Leaving London... where would you go or retire to

Hi,

Just asking if you could move out of London where would you go or retire to?

I often think of this but don't think it will happen for a number of reasons.

As a single person I would want to find someone affordable with good transport links where is clean and feels safe. Maybe a community feel too. Nice green areas...this is my fantasy...sad I know!

Depending what you like to do. Essex has a lot of small villages which have slot of people who go their to retire. Near Colchester way. People sell jam and fruit and veg from their gardens in the front of their house, they have locals shops, walks, and tea rooms. Small buses take you to town. Not sure if any of that is your cup of tea but it’s safe and you meet a lot of people who have gone their to retire and have a slower pace of life.
