Anyone cleaned up their laptop and fitted ssd card?

Just wondering if you have sucessfully cleaned up your laptop to make it run faster?

I was going to let a work colleague do it and to fit an ssd card but im going to tey it myself using utube, have you got any tips?

No idea sorry, all I've done is open the back a lil to change ram but it's just a single panel changing to a solid state drive would be actually opening the laptop up and changing the piece out but tbh with enough YouTube and googling you should be okay, I rebuilt my pc and changed the motherboard out and rewired the whole thing by following YouTube videos so I'm sure you'll get there in the end :)

Get an SSD upgrade kit, rather than just an SSD by itself. The kit will come with the software, cables and instructions to make it all work. And make sure you have a screwdriver set - mucking about with Torx and Pentalobe screws can suck your will to live. Finally, use a light worksurface over a light carpet (preferably lino), so if a tiny screw rolls off, you can find it easily. Good luck!
