funky music for an 8 yo (no vocals) - suggestions please...

ds has asked me to put on some funky music without singing on it! Have put on a compilation for him now (scissor sisters etc) but its not what he wants! any ideas for a 'funky music cd' for him? he will be 8 next week. All suggestions welcome!

i have a cd called movie sountrack - or sommat. it has some really good instrumentals on it frm films - like resevoir dogs and pulp fiction.

what i mean is - maybe a movie soundtrack thing if you can download.

it's his birthday next week, so it was a good idea for something to get for him

no - they're the artistes - check out iTunes ! he might like Lemon Jelly as ds did at about age 6 - there are some words in some tracks but they're sampled from other things...
