and do you use the booster seat without the back? is 3 yrs old too young to use the seat bit alone? i need to take one on the train (to use ina car at the other end) and id rather not take the whole seat iyswim just the booster seat bit

yes 3 years old is too young and small to sit safely in a booster seat.

depending on the weight of the 3 year old could also be illegal
