Can anyone recommend a decent brand/shop for sports bras?

Preferably not too expensive but am sick of bouncing around in my cheap one!

TIA

Berlei Shock-Absorber ? That's the one that Anna Kournikova models for. Supposed to be really good, no idea on the size range though.

LOL at Shock Absorber!!

Thanks NDP, I will see if I can find a website.

LouBeeLou,

I'm a 32E and a runner, and I find the Shock Absorber sports bras excellent. I usually get mine from John Lewis.

If you're looking for a website, try:

azzie you too are 32e?
you need to joint he rest fo us on big knockers thread!

I wear the Shock Absorber too, you may find you need to go up a back size and down a cup size as they are quite small made round the back. They come in lots of different levels depending on what you want to do whilst wearing it!

Well, I have been going to a ladies-only gym for a while and having a crappy sports bra hasn't really bothered me as we're all girls.

But have just started karate and (to my surprise) there seems to be quite a bit of bouncing around involved. And also there are blokes there too and it gets a little embarrassing.

Thanks for your suggestions.

LBL I have big breasts and recently took up running. I swear I have tried on EVERY style of sports bra known to man in every shop in Glasgow.

I tested them by jumping up and down in the fitting room and not one came anywhere close to restraining my bouncing bosom.

The solution I found was to wear an ordinary bra with an old breastfeeding bra on top.(which incidentally was completely useless for bf)

This combination restrains me really well. Looks distinctly unfetching but noone sees it anyway.

grumpyfrumpy I will have to look into that whehn I visit Canada later this month.
I trully believe I have tried on EVERY sports bra style in the UK. My bosom LAUGHS in the face of them all and refuses to be held down.
The arrangement I currently favour does give me a look of a slimmer(but not much) Hattie Jaques.
