It's very very very distantly, and only through marriage but my SIL's MIL is a close relative of hers! In Zimbabwean culture you are classed as "family" even if it's only your SIL's, MIL's, SIL's father etc LOL.
It was actually quite embarassing at SIL's house the MIL showed me a big picture on the front of a magazine and said "She's my cousin - doesn't she look like me"....and I thought she was joking - but it turns out she wasn't
