Can BT charge me £125 connection fee when I am 'tied' in?

I feel they are holding me to ransom and I am so angry.

Situation: I am moving tomorrow and will be charged £125 connection charge. I have no option but to pay as I am tied in with BT Broadband until July 2008.

I feel this is unethical practice as I am unable to go to another company as BT Broadband only works through a BT Line.

Please let me know I'm not the only being treated badly by these big companies?

NTL reconnected me for free when I moved.

Yes, next July I will be leaving BT forever. I must have moved 8 or 9 times and I've never been charged a connection fee.
