...and you can hear it in the whole house!

It woke me up this morning (I was convinced someone was outside knocking to get in).

Any suggestions?

have you seen the film 'failure to launch' ?
that might give you some ideas

dustystar · 29/08/2007 19:49

lol attila
A couple of old cds hung on a bit of string so that they can move in the wind might help

southeastastra · 29/08/2007 19:51

put a flag or something out of a window above, the movement will scare it (maybe)

Ewww, a crow landed on my head when I was walking to school one day. Thought it was going to do an 'omen' on me!! Shudder.

littlerach · 29/08/2007 19:53

God, we had this 2 yeras ago on our loft windows. It wa sonly very early too.
(Except the one day that dd1 was uo there on her own in the agtternoon and one landed then - she was terrified).
We hung a cd in the windiw and it stopped.
Haven't had them since.

(Now have starlings in the eaves instead to make funny noises)

tassisssss · 29/08/2007 19:55

They do this on the allotments near where we live. They just string some cds together (a short distance apart like fairylights) - sometimes several on a string that just hangs vertically and sometimes a few on a string thats strung accross from one end of their patch to the other. Apparently it works. the shiny surface catches the sun as it moves and frightens the birds.
