What colour should I paint my walls?

Wa going for cream and a chocolate one, (with greeny blue pics, cushions etc) but now not sure..
Have a pale sage green carpet, cream curtains with choc leaves down ends. A settee (teracotta colour)which I plan on putting a throw over (whatver matches) . Bought a tester paint from Dulux (feature wall) intense truffle, but it looks a bit, well, fawn and wishy washy! And that is the darkest one I had seen.
dh says it will be fine. Not sure at all.
oh, and it is for a room that has the settee, and will have computer/tv in, a slouch room.
Tell me what colour could I do?

look a colours from all diff paint cos - you can olour match any colour you like. you can even take in a piece of magazine fabric, whatever and get them to colour match it.

when testing paints out, get a big cardboard piece and paint that so you see a bigger area iyswim, and look at it in daylight, evening lamp light etc

and go with your gut. you have a plan and it suits your tastes, so beleive in yourself.
