Now I don't normally indulge in this kind of malarkey but this made me laugh

coppertop · 26/09/2004 16:47

OMG!

moomina · 26/09/2004 16:51

snort!

TraceyP · 26/09/2004 16:55

Oh, no! No, it's not funny, it's really not funny.

JoolsToo · 26/09/2004 17:01

well I don't know about you - but if it was my child I'd be getting electrolysis pronto! and would you REALLY let the beard grow! that 60's style woman with the glasses admiring the Captains Birdseye beard of her ds - I just want to sock her on the jaw (and I'm a pacifist!)

Miaou · 26/09/2004 17:05

I just can't decide if it's a site that takes itself seriously - or is it just taking the p!ss?

Quote:"What are the benefits of my baby's beard?"
The primary benefit of a beard is the added warmth that it provides for a newborn. If your baby has a particularly fast-growing beard, you may be able to weave a "beard-blanket" that will travel with your newborn wherever he or she goes.

I don't understand what's funny about having a phisiological problem that may cause so much rejection. Sorry...

coppertop · 26/09/2004 17:08

I thought it was just a wind-up.

JoolsToo · 26/09/2004 17:08

Chandra - neither can I - I'd be flippin' devastated if my child had that problem.

jampot · 26/09/2004 17:27

seriously,is this for real?

SenoraPostrophe · 26/09/2004 18:10

chandra, joolstoo and jampot - this statement is on the "lagal" page:

Babies With Beards is a site for persons aged 13 and up. The information on this site is for entertainment purposes only.

It made me laugh.

SenoraPostrophe · 26/09/2004 18:10

legal, obviously

jampot · 26/09/2004 18:51

TG for that

Chandra · 26/09/2004 20:58

It's great to hear that SA, however I have seen so many children suffering from hirsutism (with tiny mustaches, beard or even hairy backs (in a 8 yrs old girl) that I wouldn't be surprised if that really happens. Actuallly, when DS was born he even had black hair at the ears, fortunately all of it is gone.
