More on the wedding subject.

What colour did you marry in? And what colour did your bridesmaids, if you had them, wear?

I wore an ivory dress. My bridemaids wore a sort of cinnamon colour.

My dress was a creamy white. My sister, only bridesmaid, wore a pale lilac/blue colour.

My dress was Periwnkle blue and it's gorgeous I love it.
It was the dress that I had worn when I was a bridesmaid 2 years before. We'd had to pay for our bridesmaid dresses ourselves and they were quite expensive so I said if I ever got married I'd wear it for my wedding.

When I got married there was just Dh, me and dd1. dd1 was our flower girl and wore a lovely ivory dress from Next. Dh wore his Kilt.

my dress was empire line with a bottle green top and a cream skirt. Very pride and predudice style.

My bridesmaids wore Burgundy dresses

Mine was ivory and so were theirs - they had little multicoloured pastel flowers on theirs and everything else (flowers, cake etc) were all different pastel shades.

Mine was white. My two little sisters were bridesmaids. Because of their different colouring (and therefore the same colours don't suit them) they wore the same style dress in different colours. On was a salmon-pink, the other a kind of turquoise. My flowers and headdress had both those colours in so it tied everything together.

mine was white and 2 bridesmaids wore a soft yellow and one wore pale blue.

My dress was whilte silk with a tartan train woven into the back of the dress ( a bit like a corset but using fabric which became the train rather than laces).

The bridesmades were in bright scarlet red! Made me look positively virginal by comparison

I got married in a raspberry suit with a giant raspberry suede hat! In the evening wore an indian cream silk dress with gold embroidery and the sort of bridesmaids were in gold

I was in ivory and my two grown up bridesmaids were in orange and to two little ones were in ivory taffeta girlie dresses with orange sashes.
DH had a frock coat with a cream silk waistcoat embroidered with orange daisies (present from me ... hand made in Jermyn Street) and an orange tie and the bestman and ushers wore frock coats with white shirts, plain cream waist coats and orange ties.
We bought the ties from Harrods and they all still wear them I am told.

My dress was a pale champagne colour and my bridesmaids wore green dresses with purple flowers (sounds awful but actually really lovely fabric) chosen by my sister. Who was a nightmare and made a huge fuss about having to wear a dress, this was the only fabric she liked.

at BFs wedding this year I wore a kind of mauve/purple dress had to describe but lovely colour. We spent a day looking for dresses in Glasgow and the ones that caught our eye were off the peg from Debenhams, much nicer than the bridal shops and much cheaper.

funny story was trying on my size 10 dress and we were talking about dieting etc and I turned to BF and said "what if I put on weight?" as it turns out I was about 3 days pregnant with DD but knew something was happening - oh we exchanged the size 10 dress for a size 14 I just managed to squeeze into for the wedding!
