What shall I do? The weather forecast is for dull but dry. I'll have a car and I will be on my own so I can do anything!!

Any ideas please?
I'm happy to sit with the newspaper for a while with a decent coffee.
Equally happy to walk for miles (I'll have comfy shoes with me) and see some sights.
Not fussed about shopping.

Anything to suggest anyone?

TIA

Macknades is lovely for a couple of hours. A walk in Seasalter direction?

AwkwardSquad · 05/10/2019 07:39

The boatyard is great for a bit of a wander.

the beer museum.
and a nice piece of cake & cuppa in one of the lovely cafes near the market.

There’s also the Abbey Physic community garden, in the centre of Faversham. The town centre is really nice for an amble around.

Walk down the creek
If you’re having a coffee the Yard in town is lovely.

Oare Marshes - lovely place for walking and wildlife.

Thank you all SO much.
I've packed the Saturday papers and realised that for the first time in ages and ages, I'm going to have time to read all of the sections from cover to cover if I so desire. It feels rather decadent.

But your ideas might well trump the reading. Looks like I'm spoilt for choice Smile

@mckenzie that looks good! Did you have a nice time? What did you do?

mckenzie · 06/10/2019 10:10

I did as you suggested Awkwardsquad and had a mooch round the town and the market before taking Dancingqueen’s advice and heading to The Yard for delicious coffee and sandwich.
I’m a tad poorly so I headed back to my cottage at Judd’s Folly for a snooze but saw the footpath signs as I drove in and went for a walk through the fields instead. A lovely afternoon.
Now I just need this morning’s rain to bog off please and for the sun to come out .....
