dh went shopping earlier

Some little twat packed his bags and put 4 bottles of wine in one single carrier bag, I was unloading the car and lifting it up to pass over the gate when it gave way and an expensive (ie very heavy) bottle of wine landed on my big toe. It hurt SO much, it has swollen to 4x its size and gone purple, I can't walk on it and I am meant to be going to see Prince tonight and i am MIGHTY FUCKED OFF

A purple toe is at least an appropriate colour for his symbolness - feel your pain though - ouch[wince emoticon]

honestly I ahve broken my ankle 3x and it never hurt as much as this. I was actually crying (which made dd cry too )

Write their head office a letter of complaint. You are quite likely to get £20 of vouchers. I did.

I have called them and complained and told them to give their staff some training in how to pack! They have taken my details and I hope they blimming do send me something
(I didn't mention that my dh is a litigation lawyer yet )

if blood is trapped under the nail, the pressure can be very painful

you'll need to burn a hole in the nail with a red-hot needle to let it out, and it won't be so sore!
