Wedding dress in shades of brown

Where can i find a wedding dress that is a bit different?

All i have found so far are either white, ivory or red.

Am looking on behalf of soon to be SIL - she wants something idealy with an ivory skirt but with the bodice in a shade of brown, wild mushroom etc - Anyone had anything a bit less traditional for their wedding dress?

I've seen winter wedding dresses that are a traditional ivory skirt/dress with a jacket in velvet or coloured silk. her best bet may be to have one made if she wants something truly unusual - go and try on all the traditional types to get an idea of shapes, styles and details an then have one made to fit what she wants.

I agree with soupy, have it made. It's also often cheaper or on par with buying the dress off the peg and she can get exactly what she wants. Everyone's a winner

agree, I had mine made. Long full silk skirt with sort of train and velvet jacket type top. A few hundred pounds but still cheaper or certainly on a par with off the peg. Was going to say ready made but that sounds like a pair of curtains . I'm pretty sure I've seen the sort of colours you're decribing too.

They had some lovely "bridesmaid" dresses in all sorts of colours/fabrics at Virgin Bride when I was looking 5 yrs ago, I got a deep red velvet long suit which I lurve. I remember the brochure was with a magazine & had brown as well as everything else, it all looked so nice tho slightly different on a non-model figure...

Try and find some Anu Pam dresses. When I ws thinking about ordering one I was given 28 different colours to choose from.
