I brought my little banged up corsa about oct last yr for 500. Its been ok to me not great, had to do lots of repairs such as

initial outlay £500
battery about £100
2 tyres and some other stuff recently about £250
MOT failure £40 then about £150 worth of stuff to be done to it.

Well last week after yet more work the car just died, stuck hazards on and then restarted was ok.

Today it dies again and i couldnt start it so i called rac guy who couldnt find the fault but said if the water was still leaking after some work it obviosuly needed yet more work. Moeny i havent got.

I went straight to a car dealership to see what they had. Saw a nice little car 65k miles for 4k. I have about 1200 or so that i can use for deposit.

I think i should buy a used car and get finance. I am very lucky that it didnt break down on the motorway or with my son in the car on the motorway, i need a reliable car as i do about 40 miles on the motorway each day and i can do public transport. Last week i crashed becasue of faulty brakes.

The apr is 6.7% flat rate.
Ideas pls.
