I hope you're fit. It's on a MASSIVE hill.

My mum used to take me when I was little. i loved it. Bet it's a lot more swish and hi-tech these days though! I remember lots of enormous dinosaurs in a sort of forest. Hope you have a fab time.

Do you remember the big house of cards they used to have that you could walk round? So crap, but I loved it!

I went to Gullivers a few weeks ago with my ds(5) and a friend with her dd(5). We had a great time. The children loved it and were tall enough to go on all the rides. It's a really good workout too due to going up and down all the hills - my legs did ache after!

I'd advise you to get the chair lift up the hill first, then work your way down stopping at rides along the way. I'd take a picnic, too, although there are places to buy snacks (mainly fast food I think).

Have fun!

Mytwopenceworth - YES! I used to LOVE the house of cards though looking back, I can't think why! You sort of climbed a ladder to get up inside it, didn't you? I also remember always pestering my mum to buy a rocking horse that was always outside the shop on the hill up to Gulliver's... ah, happy days!

We have picnic packed! Have buggyboard and pram sorted, plus sling if ds2 gets tetchy.
Right so top tip start at the top and wind down
Okies
Thanks all

Deffo agree about starting at the top. We went last week with ds 2.7 and dd 11 weeks. It was hard work with the buggy but ds loved it. He went on all the rides except the biggest rollercoaster as he wasn't big enough. Not sure wether a 13 year old will find it very exciting though...

the day was great, no trouble parking or getting in, max queue was for the log flume which was 10 mins tops, the place was a bit tatty round the edges, but top value for an under 7
ds 13 was a bit oh yeah but I've been to Alton Towers and Drayton Manor and Belgian 6 flags but he was there for his lil sister and got involved.

great day -fab weather, the hills were good for us I'm sure - no pain no gainn right Gin
