HELP! Going to hairdressers in 20 mins - what can I do with dd's hair?

She usually screams blue murder at the hairdressers but is now asking for it to be cut (it's past her shoulders with a grown-out fringe, hangs in her face/food & is really annoying her but she can't keep bobbles or slides in).

I think going quite short would be good but can't think of a 'style' that is appropriate for a 2.4yo - can anyone suggest anything really quick?

It's dd3 BTW - her pic is on my profile.

err, you don't have a profile? at least not one I can see...

MamaG · 27/07/2007 12:13

Bob with fringe, if sh ecan't keep bobbles/slidses in

you may just have to accept that until she is older, she needs a fringe

Bob length - long enough for pigtails or down

(can't see pic tho!)

Changed back to my proper non-HP name - just hope I can get my profile back.

GreebosWhiskers · 27/07/2007 12:19

Yay! Profile's back - please take a quick look - 5 mins to go.

She has lovely hair - my personal fave for little girls is a shoulderlenght bob with a fringe. That way, it is not in her eyes but still long enough to put up/tie back if she wishes.

But you have probably left by now...

Let us know what you decide!

bob is a lovely stlye on little girls, dd had hair down to bottom, them got hold of the scissors so had to cut in a bob.
She looks much older now.
good luck!

hippipotami · 27/07/2007 12:43

beau - my friends dd did that a few years ago (she was nearly 3). She ended up with one side of her head where the hair was way above her ear. Nothing for it but a radical short haircut! Suited her though.

GreebosWhiskers · 27/07/2007 17:09

Well we went for the chin-length bob with fringe, same as last time. I suspect the hairdresser may have burst into tears if I'd asked for a short cut like I wanted to - I just about had to beg him to cut off all my hair

She does look gorgeous & girly but it's still gonna get covered in her spag bol tonight. Ah well.

missgriss · 27/07/2007 17:14

I bet she looks gorgeous

How are you btw?

GreebosWhiskers · 28/07/2007 09:03

Hiya missgriss - we're fine thanks.

How's things with your lot?

missgriss · 28/07/2007 12:46

Hungover. I went out to a friends house last night and I'm feeling the pain this morning

dc are engrossed in Peppa Pig and dh is absorbed in Harry Potter so I'm getting a bit peace
