WHAT DOES IT ENTAIL

Tortington · 15/09/2004 11:46

finding a place in london has been the norm - then a date - which is usually a nighmare. it might be too late for Christmas bookings now, i dunno

jampot · 15/09/2004 11:52

for a meal or weekend. obviously coming from the midlands myself I would recommend hosting it round here as its central for everyone but i guess if its mainly london mummies that go it does make sense to have it in london

lilibet · 15/09/2004 12:27

But is it not mainly London people who go cos it's held in London?

I would love to go to one, but couldn't get down to London.

and me, london is far far away

granarybeck · 15/09/2004 12:42

me too, london is bit too far.

NomDePlume · 15/09/2004 12:49

London is a ball-ache for me too, as I'm also in the Midlands, but I could make it if there was no other option.

SoupDragon · 15/09/2004 12:53

What you need is a London organiser, a Midland's orgaiser and a Scotland organise. And anywhere inbetween where there's a cluster of MNers.

jampot · 15/09/2004 12:54

you mean like a meet up?

lilibet · 15/09/2004 12:54

So volunteers please?

jampot · 15/09/2004 12:55

i'm happy to be part of a "midlands xmas celebrations working party"

fairydust · 15/09/2004 13:08

I organised it one year and it wasn't that much of a mare tbh, ks helped and suggested the venue and booked it and I just kept posting lists of who was coming or not. Err, that was it! People did come from out of London iirc. Well, I did anyway (was it just me?) and I lived in Devon at the time.

lydialemon · 15/09/2004 21:01

There is a london one arranged here , or are you talking about an evening drinky type one?

Ailsa · 15/09/2004 21:27

I also went to the one that WWW & KS organised, travelled from Worcester. I think we all had a great time, did we not?

Flik · 15/09/2004 21:36

I'm also a midlander, would love to come to one as not done it before but Im not good at organising Im afraid. 3 across the country sounds good, maybe there could be an internet link up between the 3 or something on the night. ( is that to far fetched?)

jampot · 15/09/2004 22:17

i;d be happy to organise /help organise a midland one

BabyHare · 16/09/2004 17:37

I would come along to a midlands meet up - I live in Leicestershire!

I would also come along to a London one and I would help organise too!

I don't mind doing some organising for a Midlands one jampot, if you want more for your "working party"

Mirage · 16/09/2004 20:02

I'd like to come to the midlands one too.

Babyhare-do you mind me asking whereabouts in Leicestershire you are? I'm in Syston.
