Am I the only one feeling distraut, my one and only is leaving the infants school tomorrow (ok, the junior school is next door, but it's a new building, headteacher, etc.) I will be clutching a large box of tissues tomorrow at the leavers' assembly!

make sure your too busy to think about it. My ds2 has finished nursery today ( the last of my 3 dc), and i thought i would be quite upset. But then school announces that KS2 are having their cancelled sports day today, right on picking up time from nursery. So, the short of it is that i was so busy rushing ds2 out and off to school (the other side of town) that i really didn't have time to be emotional.
and i missed ds1 run his race. . But atleast i tried.

Aw, jodee. My one and only hasn't even started school yet, and I'm dreading it already.

So far this week I've cried about dd's last lunch club at playgroup, ds1 running in sports day, Monday is his last day in Yr1 and I will cry buckets. Anything can set me off atm.

Glad it's not just me then! Cried yesterday reading the last infants info sheet in his bookbag, goodbye from the Head, etc.

Just dropped ds at the leavers' BBQ now.

My ds is in Reception and moving to Yr 1 in Sept.

He and the class did the Ugly Bug Ball and came out with their masks on and sang to us.

I bawled my eyes out and hid behind my video camera.

So sweet and I dont want them to grow up.

my friend's little boy had his infant leavers assembly this morning and she and the other mums and dads cried buckets, she has advised me to take tissues when its my turn next year.

My DS2 had his leavers assembly from infants today. It was really lovely, and I shed a few tears.

They sang some really cute songs about how much they had learnt and how amazing they all were, but the best was when everyone held hands with the person next to them and the whole school sang a song about friendship and good-byes.

I didn't have time to get too emotional as I had to collect my DD from a friend's, and was running here there and everywhere.

I just can't believe the bump who was in my tummy 8 years ago is about to go up into the juniors.
