Green poo and lots of it (pic)

So, sorry for the gross image, but my little girl has had these poos on and off for two weeks. I've been to the Drs who have ruled out a tummy bug and said it's perfectly normal, but I can't see how it can be. She's 5 months old, breastfed and gone from pooing once every two days to after every feed! She seems happy in herself except the awful nappy rash poor thing is having to endure due to the number of dirty nappys. I'm incredibly worried and at a loss for what the problem is.

I remember episodes of this with my breastfed babies, both of them. Could be any number of things including something you’re eating, wind and teething........as long as she’s happy and gaining weight well please try not to worry (easier said than done I know) xx

One of mine had green stools for a few weeks. She was well in herself and I wasted times worrying about it.

My bf DC never had green poo (though one managed to projectile poo straight upwards from her nappy up her back every time!) However I understand green poo is normal for some bf babies, as your dr confirmed. See here too which I hope will help reassure you www.mumsnet.com/Talk/breast_and_bottle_feeding/2251533-Green-poo-when-breastfeeding

Sorry OP but I really think you should have cropped the picture; there's no need for a picture like that of your naked baby to be on the internet.

Maybe report your post and ask MNHQ to edit it?

Hi OP - we've just deleted the image to be on the safe side, but do feel free to repost a cropped version.
