Want to buy a SatNav - which is £40 cheaper to buy online and pick up fro mstore than it is to buy instore - but DP would quite like to have a look at it.

Could I sit at home on PC order it when he rings to say yay or nay and then him pick up instore - or will he have to print something?

Or do you get a reservation number like argos?

Don't sue me if I'm wrong on this, ok but I think once you've bought online from PC World of Currys (they're one and the same owners aren't they?) you have to have it. But....you do then have the right to take it back (14 days or whatever it is).

I seem to remember buying from PC World online. I paid for the item online, then picked it up in store. They said I could take it back (didn't need to) if need be.

The difference is that with Argos you reserve the item but you don't have to pay for it yet, or even give your name or information. PC World/Currys you pay up front online.

Hope this helps, and that it's right as I'm just working from my own experience (it may have changed)

Last time we did this we didn't have to pay until we were in the store...so basically you could 'buy' it online (which just sort of reserves it) then look in the store and buy it there at the lower price...think you get a print out to say you've done the online thing. Does that make sense?

Was a while ago tho so might have changed since.

Ok my dp is a manager for currys and have just asked him lol,he says if its available online for reserve then you can reserve it and go to your nearest store collect and pay for it at the opnline price.Otherwise you can go into the store with details of the offer and its at the managers discrecion whether they match the price or not.HTH
