When I hired staff I judged their application on the fluency of their cover letter. If they seemed articulate and knew correct grammer and could string together a good intro about why they were suitable and their affiliated qualities that sold them a bit.

Why are you applying?
What do you have to offer - experience, qualifications?
A bit of a personal brief and sign off.

Its a Teaching Assitant Role.

I know they like me as i have already been shortlisted they told me on Friday.

My qualities are being very calm, patient and quite knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects. Lots of common sense. The students like me too.

I have done alot of qualification to do with Childminding which is in Education i guess but none as a Assistant.

I am applying because i love the role, its very unlike anything i have done before and i just love going in and seeing the different pupils and the variety of the day. I also like the more detailed stuff like knowing what they can and cant do/eat.

You might want to mention things like

"I am attracted to a job that presents me with ever-changing challenges. I see myself as a person who can adapt to different situations and can constantly assess the situation so I am able to provide the best support to both teaching staff and pupils alike"

It is late and I am not feeling very articulate, but those are the qualities I admire most in my TAs

Good luck!

That is very good.

i have so far.

The vacancy for the post of Teaching Assistant is of great interest to me and I therefore enclose my application for the position.

My experience of working with children from 3 months to 5 Years has given me an inside into child development. My recent experience with agency whilst at School has broadened my experience and knowledge of working with older children.

During my times as a childminder I completed several training courses including Special Education needs within the early years.

I would value this opportunity to further my knowledge and experience within the area of special education needs as this is something I find very rewarding and interesting.

What do I write in the closing of the cover letter? It should be really persuasive and impressive. I have written 2 paragraphs in the body of the letter. So far, it consists of 348 words. What is a Strong Closer for a good cover letter?
