Most cars have anchorage points situated on the roof (where it meets the doors) There are 4 in total and the bars travel from one side to the other. If you go to the toyota website then you can check accessories for your make, model. Alternatively search on Thule website. They manufacture the bars.

Of course you can, DH always has special roof racks built for his vans. Depends what you want, he HAS to have 4ft ply and a roller thingy for scaffold planks. Usually costs about 200.00 sometimes more.

Its a curved roof if that makes a difference?
Also the aerial is in the middle.

Yes, I had roof bars on my Yaris til DH nicked them for his Avensis. Halfords will tell you what you need and even fit them for you.

Oh fab, just what I need!

I am going to speak to Halfords about a bike rack too (really regretting the car coice now I want to carry bikes and Kayaks!)

Yes, I love my Yaris with a passion but always unreasonably excited when I manage to get the weekly shop in the boot, never mind a couple of bikes and kayaks but Halfords are helpful.

MrsWho · 19/06/2007 22:28

Oh I've no problems with the inside, dds bikes have fitted in until now its just dd1 needs a new one (knees touching chin ) and it won't fit in the car so thought of bike rack.

Then I have joined local canoe club and am pon a course atm and can borrow a kayak fro free for a few weeks and have no way to carry it (Mams car is too new so she won't lend me it!)

£100 in Halford for the roof bars so will have to wait a bit!

Need a bike rack though but my Grandad is contributing
