probably guessed that it's lavender, into this pyschology stuff A type is very competitive, counts much faster than seconds in a minute, achievement orientated, hates to waste time doing trivia whereas B is the opposite really isn't competitive and is just different..

iota · 25/08/2004 15:25

I must be a b - I'm mumsnetting again! ....what am I going to do after 6pm?

lavender1 · 02/09/2004 21:50

did anyone watch the personality programme on BBC1 tonight and did you do the quiz?...the different types were planner, spontaneous, heart, head, introvert, extrovert, ideas and facts....and apparently if you mix them around there are 16 different personality types as per Jung many years ago....can go onto BBC website to do the test btw!

I have taped it to do later.

hmb · 02/09/2004 22:04

Realist, just like dh.

sammac · 02/09/2004 22:04

We did this as an in-service day a couple of weeks ago, had a trainer in. Very interesting to see others types, but luckily I am in the right job according to my type!

lavender1 · 02/09/2004 22:05

MummytoSteven, you are so willing to share things about yourself , it's no surprise what you say!! (btw mine's the same...exactly)

Tanzie · 02/09/2004 22:11

Spontaneous, introvert, facts, head. G-d I am so BORING!!!

JanH · 02/09/2004 22:21

Me too, Tanzie - they call it resolver, is that supposed to make us feel better?

linnet · 02/09/2004 22:26

Planner, Facts, Hearts, Introvert

I'm a nurturer, drawn to jobs that allow them to help others. I help people at work all the time looks like I'm in the right place

Chandra · 02/09/2004 22:26

If I have slept well I'm A if I haven't I'm B.

Tanzie · 02/09/2004 22:31

JanH, well it looks like I'm in the right job then, if nothing else!

lavender1 · 02/09/2004 22:31

Question: of the introverts, are you the quietist in a group of people? as the definition of an introvert was someone who likes to spend time unwinding on own, where extrovert with people??....tbh my unwinding is not on own...(muksnet...although not face to face person to person)..are introverts insular?? (anyone else not quite understand fully what they are getting at??)....

OP posts:
Tanzie · 02/09/2004 22:31

Think revolver would be better description!

Tanzie · 02/09/2004 22:34

I am not quiet and people often express surprise that I am an introvert, but I am. I am naturally very antisocial and force myself to socialise. I even enjoy it sometimes. But when I do, I have to escape periodically for 5-10 minutes, to be on my own (to the loo if there's nowhere else available). When Iwas a child I used to take myself off my my bedroom during my birthday party and read a book. So I haven't changed!

JuniperDewdrop · 02/09/2004 22:38

according to the online test I'm a leader but I'd disagree.

did the memory test though and managed to remember 16 things in a row

JanH · 02/09/2004 22:39

Spooky - I am just the same, even down to the books at birthday parties - not just mine, either, I used to disappear at other people's too (under the table if the cloth was long enough).

What is your job then, Tanzie? Do you work on your own or in a team? (I work on my own now - like it much better )

Heathcliffscathy · 02/09/2004 22:41

innovator

spontaneous, ideas hearts extrovert

Tanzie · 02/09/2004 22:43

I work in a team, but am much happier working on my own. A key part of my job is negotiating at huge meetings, sitting round a table, with everyone trying to get their point across. Sometimes I'd rather be sitting under the table, I must say.

JuniperDewdrop · 02/09/2004 22:46

I was so disappointed not to have hearts

I got planner,ideas, head, extrovert

JanH · 02/09/2004 22:47

Maybe you should give it a try next time everybody is talking at once - should guarantee an instant awed silence!
