Anyone who quit Facebook - why?

I quit months ago and I don't miss it. There are so many reasons why I got pissed off with it. I think it's turned so many adults back into attention seeking children.

Why did you quit Facebook?

Not been on it for over 10years!
No intention of going back to it ever!

Live in a small town where everyone is in each others pockets. Always some drama going on on facebook.

It was lovely coming off. I actually had things to talk to people about when i bumped into them. I have never and would never go back.

My dm shows me hers from time to time and all i can see is people posting stupid youtube videos, selling stuff or talking about their illnesses.

Attention seeking posts such as "I'm feeling so stupid-sad-lonely"

Cue everyone saying "what's up hun?"

Followed by nothing....

Fishing posts: "how many of my friends think I'm pretty.?"...if you don't post your head will fall off..or some similar shite

Fucking adverts and clickbait videos. When they put an advertisement banner in the middle of my messages in messenger I lost it and just deleted.
My world has become smaller which was difficult at first but now at least I know who ACTUALLY wants to keep in touch with me.
