Any tips on nice places to go, basically to chill, on a Sunday morning? Somewhere very central please! Thanks!

Royal Parks?

South bank even has a festival on this weekend, I think. I believe DP is doing a t'ai chi demo at it

Brunch in St James' Park? Restaurant there is Inn the Park (quite posh for dinner but more low-key during the day) website here

What´s at South Bank exactly and how do I get there? Don´t know London at all, just happen to be there on Sunday morning only!

Oooh, MI, your DP does T'ai Chi? I used to own a small dog who objected strenuously to T'ai Chi, and used to bark relentlessly at people who did it in the park. [fake disapproval at dog]

MI - is it on all w/e? Can't go tomorrow but would love to get down on Sunday.

Bid, you can get to South Bank at Waterloo Stn (Jubilee, Northern & Bakerloo tubes). There's the London Eye, entertainers, sometimes 2nd hand book stalls. There's also a place, like a square, with restaurants/cafes, little shops etc. I can't remember the name of it though. Will see if I can find it for you

That square is Gabriel's Wharf:
South Bank

go to the Anthony Gormley exhibit if you can ....I haven' tbeen yet, but have heard it is fab

yoyo · 08/06/2007 21:08

If you are going to the Gormley buy your tickets on line as the queues can be substantial. It is well worth it and don't be put off by the queuing for Blind Light - it is fantastic.

Thanks everyone. Had a great time - South Bank to be recommended!
