Will an optician sell me contact lenses without an appointment?

I've just ripped on of the buggers whilst cleaning them and don't have any spare.
My optician is closed today, but I have my prescrption.
Do you think somehwere like boots or specsavers will just let me buy a pack?

If they don't try glasses direct, they have a contact lens section and will send you them to be with you tommorow

Thanks. I can go to my own optician tomorrow. I wanted them ffor tonight as I am going out (very rare opportunity so must look glam!)
Specsavers have just said no as I don't have proof that I am suitable or them. It is illegal apparantly, o I'm thinking i have no chance unless I pay for a fitting.

Ah vanity is such an ass.
