Hi, really appreciate the advice
Anyone know how safe they really are? I know that many kids are wearing them but I'm a bit paranoid about radiation.

I've read online it's just a small amount. But not sure if the sites I've been on are scientific or what..
My son is 13. Thinking of buying for his birthday

Thanks

Is there any particular kind of radiation you’re worried about?

chemenger · 03/09/2018 09:26

What radiation?

I'm coming across as a bit dim I know! But the sort of radiation from a mobile phone...
Every fitness watch I see online has text and call notifications therefore it must be picking up some signals, a bit like permanently strapping a mobile phone to your wrist... Though much less...

Here’s a good summary of the evidence:

www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/causes-prevention/risk/radiation/cell-phones-fact-sheet

In summary: no evidence of link between mobile phones and cancer.

sense about science also has good real information about this.

btw if you are that worried dont take him on a plane. but with the real info you will see that the risks of that are tiny and the risk from e-m is unproven.
