Did they start off blue?

My daughter had bright blue eyes when she was a baby and they turned green by about the age of 3.

DakotaFanny · 09/08/2018 22:11

Very very dark blue to begin with, then brown, now green on outside, Brown in middle.

ABitCrapper · 09/08/2018 22:15

Sort of muddy grey until nearly 3. Now an incredible leaf green

Everyone else in the family has grey eyes. It's very weird.

TyrionLannistersShadow · 09/08/2018 22:15

My dd started off with blue eyes too and then very slowly from age 3 to 5/6 they changed to hazel/green , although she still has a rim of blue around the outside (she's 12 now)

FlowerPotMum · 09/08/2018 22:15

Greyish blue from birth to about 18months more green than any other colour now.

Tortycat · 29/08/2018 23:34

Ds started dark blue/ grey, but now turning greeny brown
Mine were hazel through most of my childhood but then turned very green so wondering if his will too

Saisong · 29/08/2018 23:37

I have very green eyes. DD started dark blue, lightened to greeny-blue by about 3, then they seemed to be getting greener so assumed they would end up my colour. However in the last 6 months or so (she's 11) they have lost much of the green tone and are now pretty much a grey-blue. Who knows if they will stay one colour!

rileyandchips · 29/08/2018 23:41

I had bright blue eyes till 4 now very light green. Youngest child blue till 1 and now green. Older kids still blue.

LonelyOversharer · 29/08/2018 23:48

Aren't eyes simply the most amazing things!

Dd1 was born with dark indigo eyes. By 1 they were khaki, and now at 15 are a clear light brown. Dd2 has always has wedgewood blue eyes (they are startling), dd3 rather epically has one blue grey eye, and one almost orangey eye. They are still changing though at 10. But I think she won't end up with a matching pair!

Mine can only be described as a sludge grey. I think green is a gradual development. Do they keep changing forever does anyone know? Or do they stop changing once you stop growing perhaps?

SoupMode · 29/08/2018 23:48

Yes they started off blue and then went green when she was a toddler.

CutesyUserName · 04/09/2018 11:52

Yes. My daughter's eyes were bright blue until she was about 3 and they are now green.

choccybiscuit · 04/09/2018 14:27

IWishIHadEvenMorePlasticTat · 04/09/2018 14:30
