Some of you might have seen on the Summer Party thread that we've had a rather eventful night with a cast of millions - firemen, policemen, scenes of crime officers, fire investigation people, elctricity board people..... still to make an appearance are loss adjusters, more electricians, skip hire crew, etc.
Fortunately we're all ok, and the damage was mostly confined to the garaage (and contents thereof) - but now we need to clean up.
Anyone got any ideas (other than simply leaving as many doors and windows open as possible for a while) about how to get the smell of smoke out of the house? And does anyone know if insurance co's would pay for cleaning curtains, etc if the curtains were in the house (and aren't actually damaged, they just smell of smoke) but the fire was in the garage?
