I'm supposed to be going to one tonight. I don't really know that much about their stuff - is there anything to look out for? I don't have much money to spend...

I've been to several & had one myself.
What type of BS party is it? There are foot care ones, make up & skin care parties, which all focus on different things.
If it is a foot one, you will probably be asked to bring along a bowel & towel for the demonstration.
You don't have to spend anything if you don't want to, but there are cheap things you can pick up, like lip gloss, shower gel etc.

a bowel pinkchampagne?!

gemmiegoatlegs · 31/05/2007 09:14

well it is the BODY shop isn't it???!!

Pinkchampagne · 31/05/2007 09:20

Yes a bowel, like a washing up bowel or something, it's to bath your feet in during the demonstration!

hana · 31/05/2007 09:22

yoiiu don't have to buy anything as well rememeber!
I've been to a couple, I used to find their stuff mostly for the teenager crowed, think they're trying to market their stuff to women in their 20s and 30s now
I do like their footscrub products tho, and any of their their body scrubs

Pinkchampagne · 31/05/2007 09:32

Yes they definitely have lots for the more mature woman. I bought anti wrinkle eye cream at the last BS party I went to!!

I had been eyeing up their blusher brush for ages. It is soooo soft and applies blusher amazingly well.

I got it for my birthday in the end but I would deffo recommend that.

pinkchampagne I didn't realise they did different ones! will have to dig out the invite. I don't think it's a foot one though as I've not been asked to bring anything. I was thinking of maybe not going as we're skint and I'd feel bad not buying anything! Perhaps just a lip gloss, or some shampoo.. are their shampoos any good?

Never tried their shampoos, but have their mango lipbalm, which is lovely & cost very little. They also do a nice hair shine cream, which is only £4.99. Then there are other cheap bits like eyeliners etc. You really don't have to spend a lot, and if there are lots of people there, it is easy to make yourself busy chatting at order time & buy nothing, without being noticed!

Can also reccomend the satsuma body polish, which smells gorgeous!

RnBee · 31/05/2007 18:09

dont you mean BOWL? I thought most people generally have their bowels inside them...

Pinkchampagne · 31/05/2007 19:21

Oh goodness, I am doing this all the time atm!! I typed out crap stick instead of crab sticks the other day, and when asked about it, I type back what they have just typed out without clicking on!! Yes, I meant a bowl, as in a washing up bowl! I have a new keyboard & am not at all used to it, so excuse my very dodgy typos, they could go on for some weeks!!

RnBee · 31/05/2007 19:23

lol pinkchampagne! It looks like you have a poo themed typo thing happening atm

gscrym · 31/05/2007 19:24

The lemony perfume (zestini) is lovely. If you like citrusy stuff, the grapefruit or satsuma things are nice.

Also the green tea burner oil is good. Think it's called room fragrance oil.

Pinkchampagne · 31/05/2007 19:24

LOL! It does seem that way doesn't it??!
