Urine Infection and Swollen Penis

My 4 year old son was diagnosed on Monday with an urine infection and is on antibiotics, since then his penis has become swollen, we revisited the doctor yesterday who wasn?t convinced it was (hello, mommy knows), but took some more urine samples for analysis.
So my question, does a swollen penis go hand in hand with urine infections in boys? His penis did but no longer hurts when touched.
A secondary matter ?to pull back or not to pull back, that is the question?. Doctor, HV say not to try to pull back foreskin it will give itself in time but family and friends say we should be starting now, think of all that trapped dirt.
As parents of boys, what is your own experience on the foreskin debate?

Part One--Sorry can't say, hasn't happened yet to my DS.

Part Two--Definetely NO. DO NOT PULL BACK. No requirement at all. It will sort itself out in the bath and seperate in its own good time.

Please give your DS a big hug from here on MN, sounds really miserable!!!Hope he gets better soon.

I'd second that as well. don't pull it back, you could reintroduce infection and make things worse.

My son suffered from repeated wee infections a lot as a baby (he had kidney reflux)and he did have a swollen willy at times and it smelt sometimes too.

hope he gets better soon
