Does your DH like Golf ? I bought mine a fab practice net for the garden which he was really pleased with. Cost about £100 I think.

fireflyfairy2 · 29/05/2007 13:21

I took mine away for a weekend. Whilst we were away I give him the new Liverpool strip for him & one for ds who was 2

Purpleparrot · 29/05/2007 13:21

chocolatebirdy · 29/05/2007 13:22

for his next birthday, I've already bought it, its a charcoal sketch of a nude. its nice, obviously I bought it coz I liked it. I guess indirectly its for me. Hope he likes it too though.

Usually I get: books, jumpers, fishing trips

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 29/05/2007 13:25

A weber gas barbeque. It was his 40th though.

UnquietDad · 29/05/2007 13:25

Tell us what he likes. Books, CDs, DVDs?

monkeyandcheekychops · 29/05/2007 13:26

Check out this website for some unusual stuff. Like it says at the top its stuff you don't need, but really, really want!

Rusty · 29/05/2007 13:27

Complete boxed set of 'The Champions' DVDs - Yes - he's a nerd....

Budababe · 29/05/2007 13:27

No idea!

Oh - Bose docking system for Ipod.

Lilliput · 29/05/2007 13:30

It's a tough one because he is not really blokey, he's a chef but I really have to resist getting him anything foodie. We are ahving a night away on Sunday because I'm doing race for life in Edinburgh and it's our wedding anniversary, so it can't be a 'treat' like that. He's not sporty at all.
He's so bloody difficult to buy for and the worst thing is he always gets me great presents.

digital radio - he loves it

PinkMartini · 29/05/2007 13:32

I have decided (after another weekend spent clearing the clutter in our house nad we don't even have DCs yet) that it's better to buy "memories" than more crap for round the house that is you don't need but really really want for five minutes. I think the idea of paintings /art is nice but gadgety presents tend to get replaced so there's no sentimentality attached to the gift.
So for DH's birthday planned a trip to Italy.
But won't be going that £££ next year.

jenwa · 29/05/2007 13:47

Last year we wboth went away so that was our b'day pressie to each other. This year its his 30th so I have got him a tandem skydive jump which all the family have contributed towards! He has said he wants to do it so hopefully he will be happy tomorrow when he opens it!!
From dd she had picture done recently at mothercare and shes painted a frame and a canvess for him. She is 20 months so its more hands/feet and bliobs!!!!

Lilliput · 29/05/2007 13:48

I've just had a brainwave!!!!I have booked a family photo session with Venture photographers, he said he needed some new photos to have at work. Hurrahhhh!!

I think I might made that from the kids just to punish myself to think of something else, maybe a red letter day thing might be good.

Lilliput · 29/05/2007 19:20

That is brilliant strawberry!! I think it would not be long until they ended up on the BBQ though . Fab idea but it would be another thing for me to look after.
