We had relatives coming for the week-end and were planning to go to the sound of music on Monday night. Unfortunatley the airport has been closed and they can no longer get here.

What I want to know from people who have been to see the sound of music - are there people there looking for tickets or selling them?
We can't exchange the tickers as they were v. expensive so I would wnat to sell them. We just wnat the face value we don't want to make any money. Is this a possibility to sell at the theatre?
My dp is a bit dubious as Connie is not singing instead Aoife is who was also on the porgramme. Our family were happy as they are irish nd were happy to see an irish Maria.
Any ides anyone?

Call the theatre and ask them their policy on refunds. I work for a theatre group (not the Palladium) and we will try to resell tickets but no guarantees. Otherwise, we have other options. Alternatively, you could advertise them on whatsonstage.com. In the discussions bit, they have a section for people trying to sell tickets for different productions. I am assuming that you are still going without the people in your party, otherwise that option won't work because there is no way of delivering the tickets by Monday.

I personally thought Aoife was better than Connie but then I personally think Julie Andrews is GOD.

when i bought the tickets they said no refund or exchange so i assume that they won't resell them. They also offered me some sort of cancellation insurance which i blithely refused. I'll look at that website. Thanks.

put them on e-bay bet somebody would go

Lauriefairycake · 25/05/2007 15:07

How much - I would loove to buy them?

Mercedes · 25/05/2007 21:52

The tickets cost £55 each.
Ridicuously expensive I know but it was the first time these relatives were visiting (we've been togther 19 years) and we wanted to make it special.

The seats are in the royal circle in the middle , 3 rows from the front.

If you are interested let me know.

Sounds like you've got great seats - bit too expensive for me though and not sure I could persuade dear hubby to go.

Good luck with selling them

sorry i haven't been ignoring you. i've been trying to sort out a babysitter so me and my dp can go. I wasn't going originally - my dp was taking his 3 sisters. Now they can't come we want to offload 2 tickets and use the other two.
Alibubbles - all we want is as close to the face value as we can get. You csn e-mail me on [email protected] and make an offer and I'll get back to you.
I would meet you outside the palladium on the night.
I'm just off to pick up the tickets now.
Hope to hear from you.
