Bristol Zoo or Noah's Ark Park?

It's my little boys birthday shortly (2) and we are looking at going to either Bristol Zoo or Noah's Ark Farm Park. Has anyone been to both and which is best?

Bristol zoo is good, we used to go there quite often when DD was young and we had family in that area. It's not too overwhelmingly large.

The other one we wouldn't have touched with a barge pole. Here's a piece written by Alice Roberts which explains why.

Yes, ignore the batshit Noah's Ark

Bristol Zoo also own The Wild Place near Cribbs Causeway

I just looked at the Noah's Ark website... you wouldn't guess it had an agenda from that. Sneaky.

Another good place a bit up the road from Bristol which we went to many times with DD (and still do) is Slimbridge WWT.

Noah's Ark is much bigger, with big animals like the Elephants and Giraffes and far more play equipment. Have you ever been? The only religious elements you might see are a few posters, which can easily be ignored. My little ones love it, would thoroughly recommend!

Thanks for the feedback. Most definitely not going to Noah's Ark Park! Had enough of people pushing religion to last a lifetime. I realised the name was biblical but I didn't realise they had a 'message' to shove down your throat (and aiming it at children is terrible).

I've not heard of the wild place before but that looks like fun. I think I'll stick to Bristol Zoo for the birthday treat and add that and Slimbridge to the list of day trips. If I don't plan things, we are in danger of falling into a rut and just heading to town each weekend.

Thank you all!

Ooh another vote here for the wild place (owned by Bristol zoo but at cribs causeway)
They have cheetahs and they are amazing!
Enjoy the birthday, whatever you decide it will be great!
